How It Works
1. First-Round Submission
Submission Format: Submit your case report as a traditional case report (not PowerPoint) in accordance with VTS-style grading criteria.
Submission Deadline: August 1st, 2025
What to Include:
Patient history and presentation.
Diagnostics and interpretation.
Treatment plan and nursing care.
Outcome and discussion.
Ensure your report is well-organized and follows proper grammar and formatting.
First-Round Grading Criteria:
Your case report will be graded on the following elements:
Case Selection & Complexity
Case History & Presentation
Diagnostics & Interpretation
Treatment & Nursing Care
Outcome & Discussion
Grammar, Formatting, & Professionalism
2. Final Round: PowerPoint Presentation
Selection Process: The highest-scoring first-round submissions will advance to the final presentation round at the conference.
Presentation Format: Prepare a 15-minute PowerPoint presentation of your case, following the same content structure as your report.
Judging Criteria: Presentations will be evaluated on:
Presentation Clarity & Organization
Delivery & Engagement
Clinical Content
Critical Thinking & Discussion
3. Live Audience Voting
After all final presentations, the audience will vote live to select the top three presenters based on clarity, relevance, and overall presentation quality.
Winner Announcement: The winners will be announced at the conference, and prizes will be awarded.
Prizes
1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place will receive registration reimbursement for the conference.
Eligibility
This challenge is open to all conference attendees. Whether you’re a VTS candidate, veterinary technician, student, or professional, we encourage you to participate and share your case.
